Finally Some Lace On the Way

Feb 11th, 2008 by Esther | 4

It’s been WAY too long since I’ve picked up a lace project…Hiawatha scarred me a bit - lol…so, I finally decided to take the plunge and start on the Frost, Flowers and Leaves Shawl from A Gathering of Lace Book. I’ve loved this shawl since I purchased the book 3 years ago but […]

from the Lavish Lace book.
Very hard to get clear pictures with this horrible camera and the colors of this yarn are […]

There Is A Little Knitting to Report

May 29th, 2006 by Esther | 2

Hiawatha. Didn’t knit at all today (bummer) but we were outside doing the Memorial Day type pool / bbq stuff. If I had spent the day knitting I’d probably have finished the repeats for this side, oh well.
I am, however, on repeat 7 of 10 of this long portion. Once I […]

Hiawatha Update

May 1st, 2006 by Esther | 11

I’ve gotten the hang of this chart finally - it’s routine now (thank God) and I owe that clarity to the fantastic stitch markers my buddy Becky made for me (the are letters that correspond with the various chart changes throughout this section - total GODSEND!!).
I’m almost done with the third repeat of rows […]

Willpower? Is There Such a Thing? (REALLY?)

Apr 29th, 2006 by Esther | 6

I’ve been knitting a little bit here and there as I’ve been able during the week after work, but lace and sleep deprivation aren’t a great combo so I limit the real knitting for the weekend hours.
I tried to be good, I did, I posted about those great needles and stitch markers from Designs by […]
