Continued…
Well, out of the two types of liver cancer my grandmother could have, thankfully, she has the lesser of the two evils. Apparently this was a result of some rogue breast cancer cells from her previous bout with breast cancer 11 yrs ago that were dormant until now. The doctor started her on oral chemo. She’ll be tested again in 6 weeks - if the levels look better at that time then grandma should be around and with us for a lot longer…(my fingers are crossed and I’m cautiously optimistic).
My dad has spent the entire day at the hospital today getting various scans done, bone, ct, cat, etc. They need to determine the spread before we can proceed with treatment. Regardless, he must have surgery to remove his prostate - so in the meantime they will be starting him on Lupron injections as a precaution.
Status quo for now…
On the knitting front, finished one plain sock (realized after I finished sewing up the toe that I made it a bit too short in the foot but it fits and I ain’t froggin’) - lol. I need to finish sock 2 but of course now I’ve got second sock syndrome so let’s see how long it takes me to get a pair.
I finished the 7th square of the 9 square lily chin blanket - again - it gets a bit boring so I pick it up and knit a few rows of a square then put it away for a few days - I’ll finish eventually but I’m just not jazzed about it right now.
I’m thinking of starting the mystery stole 3 KAL - it sounds like fun. Also have various other projects that are calling my name but I’m in such a funk that I’m afraid of further “start-itis”.
Anyhoo, hope you all have a great weekend - thank you all once again for the kind comments, prayers, good thoughts - they mean so very much.
I should be getting my home pc back next week - YIPPIEE

Esther, you and your family are in my thoughts during this trying time.
I think you should go with the startitis and knit whatever makes you happy today. They’ll all get done someday…or not. I don’t enjoy knitting when I am bored with what I am working on.

I saw you had a new post up, and had to check. I’m glad that it looks like a good diagnosis for your grandmother. We’ll keep her and your grandfather and YOU in our prayers. Hang in there, girl.
