Hiawatha Update
I’ve gotten the hang of this chart finally - it’s routine now (thank God) and I owe that clarity to the fantastic stitch markers my buddy Becky made for me (the are letters that correspond with the various chart changes throughout this section - total GODSEND!!).
I’m almost done with the third repeat of rows 1-16 out of a total of 10 repeats of this long section (which then has to be done on the opposite side of the shawl going in the opposite direction). I feel this will take a while but it’s worth it and after three repeats I feel as if I’ve got it memorized!! LOL
Anyhoo here it is so far: (the part with the three arrows - look like hearts:-)
The entire piece so far (not stretched out - too cumbersome at this point to do that):
So far I feel like the hard part is over at least until it’s time to do the edging! LOL

WOW! SO SO cool! I use stitch markers whenever I knit lace. It makes it so much easier to keep track of your repeats and find your mistakes.
Does the pattern have a purl side or are you doing YO’s etc on both sides?

hey, looking good….. don’t forget you have another whole bottom half more to repeat… be strong… it’s worth the patience as the shawl is LOVELY. Also love the whimsical needles you bought. Not one pair, but the whole farm?? So, so cute & collector’s item!

It’s so fantastic Esther. See you are much more laid back about this project than me. I don’t know why this one made me so nuts. But it did/has/ so far anyway.
